INTRANSIT
architecture film days
How do we experience the spaces we come across? Apartments, borders, skyscrapers, construction sites or sidewalks.
INTRANSIT delves into the complex relationship between an ever-changing society and the spaces we inhabit. INTRANSIT brings together films that reflect on how architecture enables change to happen and show how architecture changes us. The three-days invite the audience to dream of other futures or simpler pasts and question the power relations that define the spaces we live in. Each day offers a program of three categories of films, feature fiction films, documentaries and short experimental videos that show how space constantly evolves through what we collectively and individually make of it.
INTRANSIT wants to make available movies that come from all over the globe, made by diverse creative teams, and bring forward original voices as well as established ones. INTRANSIT raises critical discussions related to space and serves as a point of encounter between communities of film enthusiasts, filmmakers, artists, researchers, students, architects, and urban planners.
INTRANSIT is initiated and curated by Maud Ceuterick, Aleksandra Ivashkevich and Maike Statz in partnership with Bergen arkitektforening and Cinemateket Bergen. The screenings will be accompanied by talks and panel discussions.
